Regular orders: Your order becomes reserved only when the order invoice is drawn up, and a 50% (100% in the case the order is booked less than 2 weeks in advance) booking retainer is received. The retainer is paid to reserve your date and is NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of a cancellation.
Wedding/special event orders: Your order becomes reserved only when the $100 retainer is paid, quote is signed and terms initialed. The retainer is paid to reserve your date and is NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of a cancellation.
Payment info: Acceptable forms of payment are cash, cashapp, venmo, zelle, PayPal &/or credit card. Cash only accepted in person. Do not mail cash. Note: Payments must clear before "payment" is considered paid in full. There is a full payment required for any rush orders (orders less than 2 weeks) and the total amount is due immediately and your order will not be placed until payment is received.
Delivery & set up: Delivery of regular orders can be done with prior arrangements and will include a minimum of $15 fee that must be paid in advance-- delivery within 20 miles of KBK. Delivery and setup are required for most wedding/special event cakes over two tiers. There is a minimum delivery and setup of $45 within 20 miles of KBK. If you want to pick up your cake, please make arrangements beforehand. You hold all responsibility to the integrity of the order once picked up from KBK.
Return Items: Please return any stands, plates, brooches or other decor to KBK no later than the day following your event. If your order requires the use of columns, cake stands, cake plates, or the like you are required to make a security deposit two weeks prior to your event. Security deposit will be reimbursed in full when equipment is returned to us in the original state given. Otherwise, security deposit could be forfeited.
Our guarantee: We promise to do everything in our power to deliver you an order that exceed your expectations. We will work with you on every level to make sure you are completely satisfied and happy with your cake. Please note that colors and design of actual order may vary slightly from computer mock-up due to the nature of digital and edible components.

By making your payment on this contract, you agree that certain creative changes may be made to your final design for the sake of stability, structural integrity, design esthetics, or other certain emergencies. By making your payment on this contract, you understand and agree that you are responsible for the payments and details given for this order.
Covid policy: Due the Covid-19 pandemic, orders cancelled prior to 7 days of order can be refunded up to 50% of the balance paid ONLY. Orders cancelled after 7 days will not be refunded. You will have the option to reschedule your sweets to another available date with Kakes by Kat. Please contact us to discuss options. Communication is vitally important. We understand things can come up that are out of your control, but we must be made aware of the situation asap.
