Welcome to Kakes by Kat

I realized my passion for baking and food as a child while spending time in the kitchen with my mom. I would spend many weekends planning and prepping meals for Sunday dinner after church for the many friends and family that would stop by and visit.  It was at 17 that I really fell in love with cakes!  I made a two-tier wedding cake for a church event; that was my first wedding cake.  For many years after that my coworkers, friends, and family would reap the benefits of all the many sweets that I would create and give them.  It was always a dream of mine to have a storefront bakery.  Now I have created the home-based business that I love so dearly.  I have spent many years building and strengthening my skill set with the goal of establishing my company, and to have it become a household favorite across Texas. 

I have a small group of people that are instrumental in supporting and pushing me to be as great as I can me. One of the main people is my son. It's been wonderful to work with him on projects and to have his love and support.

 I genuinely care for your overall satisfaction from the very first interaction, working to earn your trust and comfort.  It is a cherished time for me, getting to know each client on a personal level, developing an understanding of your vision for each sweet treat you desire.  My goal is to become your go-to person each time you need something sweet!
